Dinner at Purple Panda was unexpectedly delicious with impeccable service! It’s rare I feel I have a 10/10 experience at a restaurant and Purple Panda truly surprised me! From truly delicious food, to decor to the outstanding service, our experience was an absolute treat. The showstoppers were the One Night in Bangkok cocktail - SO GOOD - and the mushroom dumplings were so delicious we ordered another round! I would 100% recommend going here if you’re looking for a chill vibe in Whistler with food you can depend on(that’s not too pricey) and amazing service. Thank you for the amazing experience :)

We had the pad thai and red curry chicken. Red curry: 1 star is spicy enough! In Belgium it would be a 2star spicyness, because it was so quickly ready, the veggies weren’t soft enough but it was okay. Loved the amount of chicken you get. The pad thai was really delicous! If the owner reads this: put it on the menu (it was the today’s special)! Service was friendly (blond girl from UK). For dessert we took the sticky mango rice and banoffee, we both liked it very much.

We ended up eating here while staying at the Fairmont just next to the restaurant and food here is truly delicious. Much better value for money than any of the hotel restaurants. After having two meals and both times having a great chat with the manager, we know that if we ever end up coming back, this is the spot. Kitchen has actual Thai cooks, space is nice and neat, friendly staff and they offer indication as well as choice of spice level with the dishes so you won’t be surprised. Me and my husband really enjoyed this experience.

Since visiting Thailand ten years ago, I have searched for just-as-good mango and sticky rice everywhere I go. This is the first place that has actually made me feel like I was in Thailand again. Amazing. Would eat daily. Will be back tomorrow.

Visited this place for lunch. Food taste was really good however it’s just warm. Not what I expected it to be … Service was great. Server was too kind to make me a thai iced tea with no milk and with lime. Ambiance was peaceful. We sat outside. It’s very calm and not too crazy busy unlike other places.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this restaurant definitely deserves a five star! The staffs are so nice and welcoming and the food was so delicious that we finished every bit of each dish. The roti is the best I’ve ever had - super crispy and the thickness is just alright. It’s perfect for small family or group to gather and enjoy some delicious asian cuisine. Highly recommended!!

Stayed at the Fairmont and needed a snack before a dinner meeting. Super friendly server helped me and I got grilled dumplings and Peking duck wraps. The dumplings were sooooo good; dipping sauce had a little kick to them which was a nice surprise! When it came time to pay, I actually left my wallet in my hotel room, felt so embarrassed and offered to leave my phone as collateral that I’d come back. Server told me not to sweat it and said she trusted me. Went and retrieved wallet, paid and left a generous tip for the hassle. Would definitely come back to this friendly and quality place!

It's difficult to find some good Thai food in Whistler but we did come across this Chinese/Thai fusion restaurant in the upper village called Purple Panda ChiThai Bistro. They have a patio area with some shaded spots. The menu is a little bit of this and that (as typical for a fusion spot). Started with the Thai Iced Tea ($7) and Housemade Lemonade ($7) and then moved on to the Peking Duck Wraps ($14) because, why wouldn't you? As it turned out, these little wrappers really don't resemble Peking duck and were quite messy with the hoisin drizzled on the outside of the wrappers. The Bangkok Fresh Roll ($18) with shrimp, chicken, and basil were much better and came with a savory dipping sauce. The Royal Duck Red Curry ($28) had a couple of whole lychees along with grapes, basil, peppers, and pineapple. On the sweet side of things but it was pretty good. It doesn't come with rice so you have to order that by itself. The place was fairly dead when we visited for lunch in June.
